More Bulletproof CSS - Creative Floating Techniques
March 15, 2008 Meeting
Back to Home PageIn the January 26 session, I covered some "bulletproof" CSS coding. ("Bulletproof" refers to code that is flexible enough to work when the user changes font sizes, zooms the page or turns off styles; that is compliant with Web standards; that works in all browsers and non-browser viewers such as screen readers; and that uses light, minimal code.)
Continuing with more from Dan Cederholm's book, Bulletproof Web Design, I reviewed some cool coding for creative floating. Floats are very useful, but they can be tricky! If you are not careful, the design will break when the page is resized, more text is added, or some text is taken away. Here are the notes from the March 15 session. Remember, this material is in Cederholm's book. It is well worth buying; it will save you many hours of frustration.
